UV exposure and chronological aging both generate free radicals, which cause oxidative stress that rapidly breaks down collagen and elastin. By neutralizing these free radicals, particularly through the action of ergothioneine, the skin's structural proteins are spared from accelerated damage. Meanwhile, the addition of collagen peptides and sodium hyaluronate directly supports the regeneration of the extracellular matrix and helps restore vital moisture.
